The masterplan applied holistic healing elements centered on achieving balance in the body, mind and spirit. Pulling the energy from an adjacent wildlife corridor, designers carved out spaces that memorialize patients, allows for meditation and rehabilitation, and extends the native regional flora through the medical campus. A grand plaza showcased a barrier free, park-like aesthetic for the vehicular drop off, while green roofs extend indoor spaces to the outside and beyond the fifth façade.

Civic Park | Valencia

Conceptualized as an inclusive open public park, Civic Park boast a county library, botanical gardens, game areas, amphitheaters, sculpture garden, outdoor spinning, art clinic and a timeline promenade with an allée of specimen Jacarandas. Anchored by live oaks saved from the site, these spaces can cater to solitary experiences and large group events. A wide multiuse trail surrounded the park to allow NEVs, pedestrians and bicyclist to ditch ICE vehicles for healthier transportation options.
